Lone Fighter Silk Pocket Square Medium

Lone Fighter' is inspired by the Spitfire and is a high quality RAF medium silk pocket square with hand-rolled and hand-sewn hem. It is made in Macclesfield, the traditional home of English silk printing and presented in a complimentary gift box. It was created in collaboration with artist Richard Knight, whose original acrylic on canvas work was inspired by the ultimate iconic aircraft, the Spitfire. The Spitfire acquired mythical status during the Battle of Britain and the work hints at the impersonal one on one nature of aerial combat. Richard's technique of layers of mark making, texture and pattern are combined with non-traditional colours mixed with a natural observational drawing style which brings a fresh perspective to his subject matter. 'Lone Fighter' is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse side of the RAF silk pocket square, which works perfectly with any pocket square fold. The artwork is framed by the pocket square's tangerine orange border and pale blue hand-finished hem. The pocket square has been carefully wrapped in tissue inside each high-quality Otway & Orford branded gift box and is accompanied by a card telling the story of the artist and his artwork.
