Golf Swing' is a stylish and unique pocket square in silk with hand-sewn hem, inspired by anticipation of an explosive golf swing. It was created in collaboration with artist Dorus Brekelmans and is presented in a complimentary gift box. Made in England. Size 42cm x 42cm.
Design & Inspiration: 'Golf Swing' is a stylish and unique full-size pocket square in silk and has been created in collaboration with Dutch artist Dorus Brekelmans. His paintings are figurative and cover a variety of subjects, often with realism as the start point, but Dorus describes himself rather as an impressionist. Paint is applied spontaneously and often expressively, with brushes or with a palette knife, perfect for capturing a sense of movement especially in sporting subjects. Colours are always bright and positive. Dorus' original artwork was created in oil on panel and inspired by that split second of excited anticipation just before the explosive swing through the ball.
The artwork is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse sides of the silk pocket square so works perfectly with any pocket square fold. The image is framed by he pocket square's pale blue border and mid blue hand-rolled & hand-sewn hem.
'Golf Swing' is presented in a complimentary Otway & Orford branded gift box with its blueberry-coloured lid and pale blue base. Inside each box, the high-quality golf silk pocket square is tissue-wrapped and accompanied by a card telling the story of the artist and his vibrant artwork.
