Blue Bird' is inspired by the perfect day for sailing and is a high quality, large-size silk pocket square with hand-rolled and hand-sewn hem. It is crafted in Macclesfield, the traditional home of English silk printing and presented in a complimentary gift box. It was created in collaboration with contemporary maritime artist Pierre Joubert, whose original oil on canvas captures the perfect day for a sailing regatta with clear blue sky, friendly sea, good breeze and sleek yachts with their seemingly intertwined sails. Pierre is a man of the French Atlantic coast and this provides a frequent inspiration for his much sought-after work.
'Blue Bird' is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse side of the silk pocket square to work perfectly with any pocket square fold. The artwork is framed by the pocket square's bluey green border and deep blue hand-finished hem. 'Blue Bird' makes an ideal gift for men who love their sailing.
