Do you know a gin lover in your life or maybe you are that person. Then a silver plate gin and tonic knife is just the ticket to help enjoy the plethora of new artisan gins. Handmade in the Legacy workshop in Sheffield by master craftsmen and women. The silver plate gin and tonic knife performs three functions. A bottle opener for the tonic, a serrated edge to slice lemons and a pinched head to pick the lemon up and drop it in your scrumptious G&T. And finished with our gorgeous Legacy Silverware etch on the blade. Chin, chin to gin.

Meet the Maker: Legacy Silverware

Tracing its distinguished lineage to 1898 when brothers Albert and Joseph Yates founded the company in Sheffield - the birthplace of the steel industry - Legacy Silverware remains one of Sheffield's last working cutlery factories. The original JY assay mark still authenticates their work today. Originally crafting silver caps and ferrules for mother-of-pearl fish eaters, they soon became renowned for making some of the finest complete knives in the Sheffield cutlery industry. Joined by William Beatson in 1947, whose grandson continues the family legacy, Legacy Silverware hand-crafts every piece using the finest raw materials and traditional finishing methods. Suppliers to the Royal Family, Sultan of Brunei, Concorde, and The Titanic, this Sheffield institution combines traditional manufacture with modern presentation whilst championing British craftsmanship and sustainability.
