This family business produces an extensive range of premium quality handsaws under famous traditional brands with origins in the 18th century - including PAX (dating to 1776), Lynx Saws (Garlick), and Roberts & Lee Dorchester Saws, plus the renowned Clifton hand planes. During Sheffield's heyday, nearly 70 sawmakers operated in the city; today only Thomas Flinn survives. Every saw is made to order by skilled craftsmen using time-honoured methods - hand-forged, taper-ground, and individually tested. Sheffield's rich 250-year history in steel and cutting implements is embodied in each piece, from tenon saws to crosscut saws.
