Ladies Hudson Aran Jumper - Skiddaw

The Hudson Aran jumper is a true classic jumper. The colour skiddaw comes from the name of the Lake district peak. Originally created for fishermen going out in wet windy conditions at sea. A true fisherman's rib needs almost double the yarn of a plain knit jumper of the same size. Because of this it offers extra warmth when the weather closes in. The Hudson Aran jumper is a 5gge chemical free British wool jumper. Not only that but wool also has natural water repellency and antibacterial properties. Sourced from a British Wool Accredited farm in Yorkshire - just 60 miles from the Peregrine factory in Manchester. These classic ladies aran jumpers are made in batches of only 200 pieces. These jumpers are designed to be oversized for an extremely comfortable and sumptuous fit.
Peregrine Clothing have been crafting clothes for over 220 years and are still family owned. They are dedicated to being sustainable and take great care in the traceability of their materials.

Meet the Maker: Peregrine Clothing

Since 1796, when Thomas Glover began hand-frame knitting in Wigston near Leicester, Peregrine has embodied eight generations of British textile excellence. Formally established as J.G. Glover & Co in 1901 and rebranded as Peregrine in 1956, the company is now run by Tom Glover, the eighth generation. Manufacturing entirely in their Manchester factory with headquarters in Bristol, Peregrine creates knitwear and waxed jackets from 100% British wool sourced just sixty miles away. Partnering with heritage suppliers like Abraham Moon, they craft wardrobe staples designed to span city and country with equal aplomb - classic British styling with contemporary functionality, made to last years without dating.
