Meet the Maker: Dents Gloves

Established in Worcester in 1777 by John Dent, Dents has spent almost 250 years perfecting the ancient art of glove-making. Holder of a Royal Warrant from His Majesty The King since 2016, Dents has created coronation gloves for both King George VI in 1937 and Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, along with special gloves for Queen Victoria and Lord Nelson. Each pair in their Heritage Collection is still handcrafted in Warminster, Wiltshire, by master leather workers, requiring up to 50 processes and taking the form of two gloves sewn together for superior fit and longevity. Some families have worked at Dents for generations, passing down traditional skills through the centuries. From the Fleming black driving gloves worn by Daniel Craig in Spectre to gloves for Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson in Batman, Dents combines heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design, creating gloves that fit better and last longer than any other in the world.
