10" Wilkinson Noir Left-Hand Sidebent

Sleek, shiny and sophisticated, the left-hand version of the 10" Wilkinson Noir Shears are the jewel in the Noir range. They are hot-forged using carbon steel and are used by professionals due to their unrivalled quality and craftsmanship. Handmade using traditional techniques passed down for centuries. They are branded with our Wilkinson trademark, paying homage to Thomas Wilkinson & Sons whom we incorporated in 1875. The term 'Sidebent' refers to the shape of the scissor; the handle that is bent upright allows the shears to cut flat along a table, therefore not disturbing any fabric you are cutting, allowing you to cut easily in a straight and accurate line. They are world famous and used by professionals due to their unrivalled quality and craftsmanship. They offer precision cutting for all types of fabric used in sewing, tailoring and dressmaking. The Wilkinson Noir range features our ultra opaque, ultra shiny noir coating that not only offers a striking appearance but also provides a super-tough coating, enhancing the longevity of your shears. A larger size, perfect for those who like a longer length of cut without the bulk of a 12" pair, they are ideal for professionals or hobbyists alike. They will arrive packaged in the signature William Whiteley presentation box with bespoke foam. A truly special and unique gift to yourself or a loved one. SUITABLE FOR CUTTING:

Meet the Maker: William Whiteley & Sons

William Whiteley & Sons has crafted the world's finest scissors and shears in Sheffield since 1760 - making them the oldest scissorsmiths in the western world and the UK's last remaining industrial scissor maker. Founded by William Whiteley and passed through eleven generations of direct family descent, this remarkable heritage spans over 260 years of unbroken excellence. Every pair is still hand-forged using traditional techniques lovingly handed down from master to apprentice, hot-forged from the finest Sheffield steel and individually tested. The company produces over 250 different types for cutting virtually every material - from delicate embroidery silks to industrial Kevlar. Their scissors won exhibition medals in London (1851, 1862) and Paris (1855), supplied the Royal Family and Savile Row tailors, and incorporate the historic Wilkinson trademark (Thomas Wilkinson & Sons, established 1875). Sheffield's legendary reputation for steel and cutting implements lives on in every William Whiteley creation - precision tools trusted by professionals worldwide and built to last generations.
