The products I received are of excellent quality but the customer service experience was equally as satisfying, which is increasingly rare these days. My goods were made to order and Dan kept me up to date and informed at each stage of the process, liaising with the manufacturers and couriers. My order arrived on time and Dan ensured it was arranged around a trip away to make sure I was able to receive it. Fantastic service and quality products, I wouldn't hesitate to order from Sir Gordon Bennett again.

Meet the Maker: Wood Life Project

Born from husband-and-wife team Hazel and Jimmy Russell's determination to combat plastic pollution and create a better future for their two young boys, Wood Life Project designs beautiful children's tableware entirely from sustainably sourced British timber in their rural Norfolk workshop. Every wooden plate, bowl and board is manufactured exclusively in Britain using FSC-certified and Grown in Britain approved beech wood, chosen for its natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties that make it perfect for family mealtimes. Their innovative animal-shaped divided plates—featuring bears, foxes and rabbits whose ears create food dividers—transform mealtimes into engaging, sustainable experiences whilst promoting portion control and reducing reliance on single-use plastics. Chemical-free and designed as heirlooms rather than disposables, each handcrafted piece uses British materials right down to the eco-friendly packaging, embodying the company's mission to inspire conscious consumption and end the throwaway culture for future generations.
