Traditional Guernsey Knitting Kit

Blacker Yarns create the finest British wool in their Cornwall vertical mill. The traditional Guernsey knitting kit is a splendid introductory design, modelled on a traditional Cornish design with a textured yoke and plain body. It is worked back and forth to reduce weight while knitting, although experienced Guernsey knitters may prefer to work in the round and work the sleeves downwards.
The kit includes the Traditional Guernsey pattern designed by June Onigbanjo, 5 ply Guernsey yarn and beautifully presented in a Blacker Yarns cotton projects bags.
Historically, Guernseys would have been close fitting, so if you want a traditional tight fit make the size smaller than you would normally use, otherwise to wear over other things and for more of a tunic style make the size larger.
The kit is available in nine sizes of your chosen shade, please note these are the finished garment sizes including 10cm/4 inches positive ease. Sample knitted in size 6.
