Telescopic Scorched Whangee Umbrella

When it comes to sartorial elegance, a traditionally made umbrella adds the finishing touch. Fox's Umbrellas are British made in the traditional way with real craftsmanship going into every single one. If you desire a more discrete umbrella, then a telescopic scorched whangee umbrella is for you. It still has all the style and panache of its bigger stablemates with a scorched whangee crook handle, but easily fits into a weekender bag. A telescopic scorched whangee umbrella makes a perfect travel umbrella. Especially for those great British summers that undoubtedly involve a shower or two. The Whangee handle has been hand scorched to give it a much darker appearance than the standard Whangee. The 10 rib frame helps to give this Telescopic umbrella extra strength compared to other models on the market. This umbrella also comes with a matching outside case to help keep the umbrella clean when stored. The length of this umbrella is approximately 18" (45 cm) from handle to end and the cover when opened is approximately 40" in diameter (103.5 cm). Fox Umbrellas are quite possibly the best men's umbrella you can buy and are often called the Rolls-Royce of umbrellas and have been crafting them since 1886 Handcrafted in London

Meet the Maker: Fox Umbrellas

Since 1868, during Queen Victoria's reign, Fox Umbrellas has handcrafted the world's finest umbrellas from their workshop, now in Croydon. Thomas Fox's original vision continues through meticulous craftsmanship, using premium materials including their iconic natural bark handles in various shapes and designs. Each umbrella doubles as a walking stick thanks to these robust handles, combining elegance with practicality. Fox Umbrellas pioneered the use of nylon umbrella covers in 1946, displaying them at the Victoria & Albert Museum's 'Britain Can Make It' exhibition. Their clientele reads like a who's who of elegance: the English and Japanese Royal families, President John F. Kennedy, and countless distinguished establishments from Alfred Dunhill to Ralph Lauren worldwide. Famous for appearing in films and television - from James Bond to Atomic Blonde - Fox Umbrellas represents 150 years of uncompromising British manufacturing excellence. Every umbrella is made to order, ensuring bespoke quality and attention to detail that has made Fox the choice of discerning individuals for over a century.
