Silver Bark Cuff

This stunning piece of British-made jewellery is cast from the bark of an English Oak tree, creating an elegant contour that wraps around its wearer's wrist. It features a sophisticated, two-tone finish: the outer surface is polished only slightly, leaving a natural texture that is simultaneously recognisable and abstract; while the inside is polished to a high sheen, creating a smooth surface that is comfortable to wear.
The cuff - which means a bracelet that spans the wrist but remains open at the back, for an easy fit - is made from silver.
Like all of Issy White's jewellery on SirGordonBennett, this silver cuff is the result of countless hours spent searching in British woodland for Nature's wonders. Issy 'forages' for the organic shapes produced by our flora and fauna, then turns them into eye-catching pieces using a process known as lost wax casting. Once the shape has been captured in metal, she works on it in her studio on the edge of Epping Forest, accentuating its natural beauty and gently forming it to fit the human body.
