Short Sleeved Field Dress deadbolt linen - Blue

A simple, flattering and versatile dress, with a relaxed drop waist and buttoned front opening. The gathered skirt allows huge freedom of movement. The dress has deep, concealed pockets in the side seams.
* Overlocked seams for durability and a clean internal finish
* Shell buttons made by a British manufacturer in Nottingham
* Cool machine wash - no tumble dry
The cloth for this is a medium weight linen, it has quite an open weave and a soft dark blue colour, we were lucky to be able to secure 30 metres of this cloth as deadbolt roll from a top designer studio -
Deadbolt is cloth that has been overstocked and is at risk of going into landfill, many companies who mass produce are left with thousands of fabrics that they don't want each season, this has a huge environmental impact. What it means for you is that your dress will be one of only a very few made in this cloth.
Fit information: Our model is 5'9" , size 12 and wearing a medium. This dress is made to order, working to a three to four week schedule between purchase and dispatch.

Meet the Maker: Pajotten

Founded in 2016 by Rebecca Barton and Ben Sears in their Kent studio, Pajotten creates contemporary workwear-inspired chorewear with soul. Every garment is made to order by hand, cut individually and sewn consciously from start to finish. Using high-quality British cloth sourced from Yorkshire mills and deadstock fabrics from designer studios, their indigo chore jackets, shirts and trousers reference functional French and European workwear with a relaxed, modern sensibility. With deep pockets for makers and artists, rolled sleeves that stay put, and natural fibres that age beautifully, Pajotten exemplifies slow fashion done right - two people making something special for you, stitch by careful stitch.
