No12 Beehive Copper Whistling Kettle for Induction
Elevenses, oh what a wonderful time to put the whistling stovetop kettle on. Hand spun the traditional way by master craftsmen and women for over 100 years. The Richmond Kettle Company No.8 Beehive Whistling Copper Kettle for gas, electric and AGA hobs is an Edwardian classic that has no equals. Each Beehive Copper kettle is made from the highest grade of pure copper. Stunning in every way and proudly stamped Made in England. But you shouldn't forget twelveses, oneses, twoses or even threeses. Just in time for afternoon tea. Copper tea kettles don't get much better. Prior to use Rinse the inside of your kettle thoroughly, fill just below the centre seam. Boil the water and discard. Do not be alarmed if the bottom section appears discoloured after the first use, this is due to the polishing compound which is used during the manufacturing process. Once your kettle has cooled, the area can be wiped over with a soft lint-free cloth and warm water to remove this. Filtered Water We recommend using filtered water in your Richmond kettle especially in areas of hard water not least as a care tip for your kettle, but it will also enhance the taste of your tea. Iconic Whistle All Richmond kettles have an iconic whistling mechanism engineered using a ball and valve assembly situated within the spout. It is perfectly normal when pouring to hear the ball rattle inside the spout. Heating Instructions When boiling your kettle always use a medium heat setting. Copper Care Over a period of time, the copper kettle will change colour shades and develop a patina (a green or brown film on the surface of the copper, produced by oxidation). This is a completely natural process and does not affect the water prepared in the kettle. You may polish this away if you desire. Be aware that soft characteristics of copper mean that the kettle is sensitive to scratches. Use caution if storing the kettle in a cabinet or sitting on your stove top. Handcrafted in Norfolk Please read the instructions carefully before use

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to first use\, rinse your kettle thoroughly & fill just below the centre seam. Boil the water & discard. Do not be alarmed if the bottom section appears discoloured after the first use\, this is due to the polishing compound which is used during the manufacturing process. Repeat process if needed. Once the kettle has cooled\, the area can be wiped over with a soft cloth and warm water to remove this.
When using your kettle on a gas stove\, be sure to place it directly in the centre of a small burner. If placed off-centre the burner flames could damage the casing in which the coil sits in. The flame should only heat the base of the kettle and never the sides
Should you need to descale your kettle\, ensure a non-acidic de-scaler is used. Never put vinegar\, lemon juice or any other acidic descaling solution into your kettle as this may damage the 100% pure tin lining.
We highly recommend not to use abrasive cleaners on any part of your Richmond Kettle. It is also important to ensure there is sufficient water before putting the kettle on the heat to prevent potential damage. Should the kettle boil dry\, allow it to cool naturally to avoid any potential damage. Do not under any circumstances fill the hot kettle with cold water as this will damage the 100% pure tin lining.

Good, honest company selling tip-top quality, stylish goods: items that are unavailable elsewhere. I was looking for a jacket that I thought no longer existed until I "stumbled" onto this website. I bought two of them, I liked them so much. In future, I will know exactly where to look.

Meet the Maker: Richmond Kettles
For over a century, Richmond Kettles has been hand-spinning traditional whistling copper kettles in the heart of England using Edwardian methods passed down through generations. Each kettle is individually hand-spun, hand-tinned, and hand-finished from the highest grade pure copper, making every piece unique with its own DNA. The iconic whistling mechanism - engineered with a ball and valve assembly - sings melodiously as water boils. These exquisite kettles grace kitchens worldwide, including those of Royal Family members in the United Kingdom and Dubai, with HM Queen Elizabeth's Tea Tasters commissioning an 8-pint beehive kettle for the royal household. Over time, the copper develops a natural patina, giving each kettle distinctive character. Proudly stamped Made in England, Richmond Kettles represent the quintessential British ritual of putting the kettle on for a proper brew.
