He painted HM The Queen in 2005 at the Royal Mews, depicting her in the Coronation Coach, and his portrait of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh was said by those closest to him to best capture the Duke's personality. In 2012, he served as an official war artist with the British Army in Afghanistan's Helmand Province, later founding the Afghan Rugby Federation in Kabul. His work has been exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery Washington and his portraits hang in prestigious collections worldwide, including Windsor Castle.
