Not only has 4160 Tuesdays won best fragrance at Ca Fleur Bon in 2017 they have also been awarded as the hardest working perfumer 2018 & 2019. Their fragrances are not for those who head to Boots to pick up whatever is on sale. They are far more adventurous and far superior. All made in small batches to add exclusivity. When it comes to British perfumes, 4160 are probably the most adventurous. Their Captured by Candlelight Eau de Parfum Spray the scent of Christmas pudding alight with the blue brandy flames being served in an oak panelled dinning room, lit with opulent candles. A perfect fragrance for a Christmas gift. It is rich, fruity and boozy, with notes of woods and a subtle wax candle hint. To be more specific its top notes sing of cognac, cinnamon and toffee. At its heart is stewed fruits and toasted hazelnuts. Whilst opoponax, candle wax and oakwood deliver its base notes. 50ml bottle.

Meet the Maker: 4160 Tuesdays

London-based artisan perfumery 4160 Tuesdays has been handcrafting adventurous scents since 2011 in their West London studio. Founded by self-taught perfumer Sarah McCartney, each fragrance is created in small batches of fifty to two hundred bottles using traditional perfume techniques from the 1880s through the 1970s. The brand name reflects the 4,160 Tuesdays we have in an eighty-year lifespan - a philosophy to make the most of every single one. Their perfumes capture times and places, both real and imaginary, through thoughtful combinations of premium ingredients. Award-winning fragrances like Maxed Out and Midnight in the Palace Garden have earned Fragrance Foundation recognition, whilst their distinctive approach blends nerdy fascination with creative exploration, producing scents with personality and wit that stand apart from mainstream perfumery.
