The Boxwell knapsack in Scout Taupe from Portamus is a simple yet classic backpack. The design is based on an old french knapsack that was found in a dusty junk shop. Each and every Boxwell knapsack is hand made by one person, Ben and are the culmination of over 20 years designing bags and accessories. Every part of the Boxwell knapsack is meticulously designed and lovingly put together. With one ambition; to create a beautiful, durable and classic knapsack made in small batches to preserve the essence of handcrafted.
Made from a water resistant canvas, woven in England, it is super light weight, has a handy double buckle front pocket and one simple large main compartment. They make great hiking and rambling bags but are just as suited for stuffing in an impulse purchase or two when you are out shopping.
Portamus backpacks are made to be used but aren't classed as 'performance wear', which often use chemical coated materials. And quite frankly are over the top for rambling vale and valley. Portamus use tried and trusted materials and skilled craftsmanship construction to make sure that their bags are fit for purpose and should last a lifetime.
