‘The Beautiful Game’ is inspired by vintage football and is a high quality, large-size football silk pocket square with hand-rolled and hand-sewn hem. It is made in Macclesfield the traditional home of English silk printing and presented in a complimentary gift box. It was created in collaboration with Stoke-on-Trent based American artist Paine Proffitt whose original acrylic on canvas work was inspired by his love for the true essence of football. Paine’s unmistakable style might best be summed up as contemporary naïve art. The romance and nostalgia of sport is central to his work, reflecting sport’s importance in defining us.

‘The Beautiful Game’ is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse side of the football silk pocket square to work perfectly with any pocket square fold. The artwork is framed by the pocket square’s twin borders of blue grey and white together with navy blue hand-finished hem.
