This delicate pair of earrings is cast in bronze from a small seed - a treasure that Issy White uncovered while on a forest walk. The pods dangle from a 3cm gold-plated chain, giving them a satisfying ‘swing’ when worn on the ear. They’re also hollow, allowing for a lightweight earring. The Bronze Seed earrings are mounted onto a 9ct gold post and butterfly back.
Like all of Issy White’s jewellery on SirGordonBennett, these pearl earrings are the result of countless hours spent searching in British woodland for Nature’s wonders. Issy ‘forages’ for the organic shapes produced by our flora and fauna, then turns them into eye-catching pieces using a process known as lost wax casting. Once the shape has been captured in metal, she works on it in her studio on the edge of Epping Forest, accentuating its natural beauty and gently forming it to fit the human body.
